Finance Operations is responsible for establishing and maintaining uniform, efficient, and effective accounting systems to control and report the receipt and disbursement of County funds and taxing districts funds. The program manages Lane County's central payroll, payables, and cash management operations and is responsible for receiving and recording all County expenditures and revenue obligations and other authorized payments on a timely basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.

Fiscal Year 2011-12 Objectives

• Managing the investment portfolio to ensure preservation of principal and adequate liquidity in times of a changing financial marketplace

• Develop ePayment opportunities in Accounts Payable

• Complete upgrade of the PeopleSoft Financial system

• To submit for the first time and receive the Award for Outstanding Acheivement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
